Pollution is the introduction of harmful materials into the environment. It is a global problem. Although urban areas are usually more polluted than the countryside, pollution can spread to remote places where no people live.
Our research focus on identification of pollutants that may cause cancer, autoimmune diseases and neurodegenerative diseases. We have identified several candidates with the great potential to induce these diseases.

A neurodegenerative disease is caused by the progressive loss of structure or function of neurons in the process known as neurodegeneration. Neurodegeneration can be found in the brain at many different levels of neuronal circuitry, ranging from molecular to systemic. Because there is no known way to reverse the progressive degeneration of neurons, these diseases are considered to be incurable. However research has shown that the two major contributing factors to neurodegeneration are oxidative stress and inflammation.
Our research have shown some plant derived chemicals have the the potential to mitigate process of neurodegeneration against oxidative stress and inflammation.

Cancer research encompasses a variety of types and interdisciplinary areas of research. Scientists involved in cancer research may be trained in areas such as chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, physiology, medical physics, epidemiology, and biomedical engineering. treatment of patients.
